Pecorino “Oro del Mare”

Idi Di Marzo è stata una fra le prime realtà vinicole abruzzesi a credere nella riscoperta di questo antico vitigno che per molti decenni era quasi scomparso. Il ruolo del viticoltore, un po’ come quello del pirata, è stato quello di riscovare un antico tesoro prezioso rimasto negli abissi. Non è un caso che il Pecorino trova la sua massima espressione in terreni sabbiosi dove anticamente giacevano fondali marini e che all’apice della sua maturazione assume delle incantevoli sfumature dorate. Non poteva essere coniato nome più azzeccato per il Pecorino ORO DEL MARE.

Questo bianco regala un’incredibile bouquet organolettico che si bilancia perfettamente alla sua struttura di medio corpo. Al naso è fine con sentori di agrumi, fiori d’arancio e note vegetali. Al palato è un vino fresco, equilibrato, che lascia percepire a lungo aromi di lychees e agrumi, con un’incredibile sapidità dai piacevoli toni salmastri, che solo i terreni con base arenaria possono donare.

L’ORO DEL MARE si abbina perfettamente a pesce crudo o a formaggi freschi. Si può anche osare con carni bianche e primi piatti delicati.

Idi Di Marzo was one of the first wineries in Abruzzo to believe in the rediscovery of this ancient grape variety, which had almost disappeared for many decades. The role of the winemaker, much like that of a pirate, was to unearth a precious ancient treasure hidden in the depths. It’s no coincidence that Pecorino finds its best expression in sandy soils where ancient seabeds once lay, and at the peak of its ripeness, it takes on enchanting golden hues. There couldn’t be a more fitting name for Pecorino ORO DEL MARE.

This white wine offers an incredible organoleptic bouquet that perfectly balances its medium-bodied structure. On the nose, it is delicate, with hints of citrus, orange blossom, and herbal notes. On the palate, it is fresh and well-balanced, with lingering aromas of lychees and citrus, accompanied by an incredible savoriness with pleasant briny tones that only sandstone-based soils can impart.

ORO DEL MARE pairs perfectly with raw fish or fresh cheeses. It can also be daringly matched with white meats and delicate first courses.
